Thank you for considering employment opportunities at Camp Thorpe! We are looking for energetic counselors who are interested in working with children and adults with special health needs and a variety of physical and mental challenges. Staff in the past have found the experience to be both professionally enriching and a lot of fun. The philosophy from which we function is a simple one, "The purpose of Camp Thorpe is to help individuals leave a camping experience with good health, enhanced self-respect and respect for others, new leisure skills and an expanded respect for nature."

We are hiring general counselors who can start working immediately, or are able to work from July 16th July 28th and July 30th to August 12th, 2017. Counselors are provided with lodging, meals, and laundry facilities in addition to salary.

Camp Thorpe is a residential summer camp that is located in Goshen, VT. We are fortunate to have a large dining hall that includes an auditorium and stage in the lower level. Our large outdoor pavilion allows for cool evening dances and rainy day activities. In addition, campers enjoy a recreation court, a pool, a large playground, pond for fishing and boating, a nature lodge, an arts and crafts building, a health center, and cabins that accommodate three campers and one staff member. Trails through the surrounding woods create opportunities for hiking. As a result of the Camp's close proximity to the Blueberry Hill Management Area, each session campers enjoy a picnic at that location.
